Ikoyi x Koan

Kristian Baumann of the acclaimed two-Michelin-starred Koan Restaurant in Copenhagen will join Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi to cook a one-of-a-kind tasting menu defined by an iconic use of spice, bold flavours, and peak seasonal produce.

The event has been many months in the making, with the chefs researching and studying each other's menus and key ingredients to optimise their unique collaboration. Dishes such as smoked lobster with red kimchi emulsion, langoustine with fava bean pesto, pigeon with goji berries and Korean pig’s blood sausage are incredible flavours explored at the event. There will also be an optional wine pairing available featuring Krug Champagne.

Koan, inspired by the Zen Buddhist practice, embodies Chef Patron Kristian Baumann's culinary philosophy in Copenhagen. Melding his Korean roots with Nordic techniques, Kristian's cuisine, celebrated for its delicate complexity, reflects extensive research into South Korea's diverse culinary landscape. The menu pays homage to ancestral heritage, with each dish purposefully resonating with cultural significance. The restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars just ten weeks after its opening in April 2023. There are two seatings - one at lunch and then one for dinner with tickets priced at £350 per guest.
